The purpose of a project Engineer within Muller is to deliver best in class engineering projects to support the goals of the business vision in alignment with the OGSM strategic plan. You will be delivering engineering projects on time, in budget to a high quality standard.

As Project Engineer, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Play an active part in continuously improving our systems and business and support improvement activities/events within all areas
  • Have awareness of Total Cost of Ownership to deliver the appropriate fit for purpose solution
  • Ensure project budgets are closely controlled ensuring forecast spend is apparent at all times from concept to closure
  • Coaching and mentoring of site leadership teams with overall end to end management of minor capital projects

  • Ensure all project completion and handover documentation are submitted to the relevant site teams
  • Support the wider project team to deliver the OGSM of the business

Key skills & experience:

  • Degree level qualification in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science) or equivalent industry experience
  • Project Management experience/qualification; within FMCG Environment desirable

The opportunity:

Join a team that works across all stages of the development life cycle, from initial concepting through to in-service support and Customer training. The breadth of work within the Mission Planning Systems Team affords plenty of opportunities for you to showcase your existing skills and experience as well as providing plenty of opportunities for technical and personal growth.

As we develop products for delivery to end users you will have also be hands-on with actual mission planning equipment developed for weapons such as Storm Shadow, Spear and others currently in development and with this comes engagement with customers and end users as well as working with many other parts of MBDA

  • You will be conducting systems design activities for various mission planning products.
  • You will provide key inputs to requirements capture, design freezes, system integration and testing through to full product verification and certification.
  • You will work closely with UK and French Systems and Software teams, as well as other parties to enable robust design and system validation.
  • You will be hands-on with real, operational equipment and have the opportunity to engage with Customers and End-Users

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Understanding of System Engineering Process is essential with recent experience in a systems engineering role ideally across the full lifecycle.
  • Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (e.g. DOORS) and Configuration Management essential.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a collaborative environment spanning a number of teams and locations is essential.
  • Experience of technical problem solving and a strong ability to think analytically.
  • General understanding of mission planning principles would be beneficial.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent.

  • Providing independent assessment and challenge of project and business processes.
  • Reporting findings through the IA Manager and presenting clear, evidence‑based conclusions to senior leadership.
  • Using assessment insights to drive continuous improvement and alignment with national, international, INPO and WANO best practice.
  • Representing an independent view to internal committees and external regulators on processes, governance and compliance.
  • Collaborating with Assurance teams, including Security Assurance Branch, Independent Site Inspection and Independent Technical Assessment.
  • Analysing outputs from assessments, audits, learning events and regulatory inspections to evaluate process effectiveness and escalate issues in Radiation Protection, Radiography, Emergency Preparedness and Radioactive Waste Management.
  • Building strong networks across the project to understand upcoming activities and ensure Independent Assessment is effectively planned into delivery.
