Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: Witney
Salary: 拢40,000 basic. 拢50,000 - 拢70,000 OTE (via project completion bonus)
Hours: 40 hours/week | Monday to Friday

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage key in-house projects, including the redevelopment of existing buildings, new build developments, and mixed-use schemes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, budgeting, and analysis, with Quantity Surveying (QS) skills considered an advantage. While a RICS qualification is preferred, it is not essential.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Construction Project Manager will lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget. The role involves building strong relationships with third-party suppliers and contractors, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in every aspect of development projects while contributing to the organisation鈥檚 ongoing growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
路 Coordinate internal resources, third-party suppliers, and contractors for key projects, ensuring flawless execution.
路 Ensure timely, in-scope, and on-budget delivery of all projects.
路 Develop project scopes for commercial new build or refurbishment projects, including clear objectives and technical feasibility plans for stakeholders.
路 Manage resource availability, allocation, and oversee project progress comprehensively.
路 Utilise verification techniques to handle changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
路 Measure project performance, report to management, and escalate issues as necessary while maintaining strong relationships with all involved parties.

Requirements:
路 Proven track record in construction, fit-out, refurbishment, and building project management.
路 Experience in new build steel portal frame buildings.
路 Experience leading projects from cradle to grave.
路 Knowledge and experience with appropriate project management software (e.g., (url removed)).

What you鈥檒l be doing

Take the lead in a dynamic engineering role where you鈥檒l ensure production assets run at peak performance.

You鈥檒l drive planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, support machinery setups and changeovers, and collaborate across teams to deliver continuous improvement.

With a focus on fault diagnosis, technical leadership, and hands-on problem solving, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production assets
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
  • Support machinery setups, changeovers, installations, and removals
  • Manufacture and repair components for processing and packaging equipment
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and asset records
  • Mentor and support technical development of team members
  • Ensure tools and equipment are available and functioning
  • Act as point of contact during weekends or manager absence
  • Escalate issues to senior engineering management when required
  • Participate in internal and external audits

  • Experience completing both reactive and planned maintenance activity and small installations

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Appropriate professional mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and training

  • Thorough understanding of common mechanical and electrical systems

  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
