We are looking for an experienced Combined Heat & Power Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of our CHP assets across the UK. This is a key role within our Engineering Excellence function, responsible for ensuring our CHP plants operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with UK regulations, while driving continuous improvement and supporting our decarbonisation strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

• Act as the subject matter expert for CHP systems across multiple UK sites

• Oversee commissioning, acceptance testing, and major upgrades

Operations & Maintenance

• Ensure full compliance with UK CHP-related legislation including CHPQA, EPR, MCPD, PSSR, and Gas Safety

Projects, Strategy & Decarbonisation

• Support feasibility studies and business cases for new CHP installations or upgrades

Stakeholder & Contractor Management

• Build strong relationships with site engineering teams, OEMs, and regulatory stakeholders

About You
Essential Experience & Skills

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Power Engineering (or equivalent)

You will be responsible forCDE Platform Administration & Optimisation, Configuration Management,Information Management and Data Governance and Digital Workflow Configuration.

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects through their entire lifecycle-from initial concept and design through to documentation, implementation, and commissioning. You will spend approximately two-thirds of your time working in the office on project design, documentation, and team collaboration, and one-third of your time onsite commissioning and troubleshooting systems. This position requires a strong leader who can mentor junior team members, lead project teams, and work independently as well as collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver control systems projects from initial concept through to commissioning (cradle to grave).
• Develop comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and commissioning plans.
