We are seeking a highly skilled and technically hands-on Cybersecurity Manager - AI
Architecture to lead the secure design and engineering assurance of AI/ML systems across
the enterprise.
This role operates as a technical leader and partnering with multiple teams across business
units-including data science, ML engineering, cloud/platform engineering, application
development, security operations, and risk/compliance-to embed secure-by-design
principles into AI systems.
The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering foundation and thrives on hands-on
technical execution, architectural ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. They
combine deep technical expertise with the ability to influence stakeholders and enable
secure, scalable AI adoption across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of secure AI/ML architecture frameworks aligned
with zero-trust principles.
• Develop enterprise security standards and reference architectures for LLMs, generative
AI platforms, and ML pipelines.
• Conduct AI-specific threat modeling (model poisoning, adversarial attacks, prompt
injection, data leakage, model inversion, supply chain risk).
• Embed security controls into AI CI/CD pipelines, MLOps workflows, and DevSecOps
processes across business units.
• Ensure secure handling of training data, fine-tuning datasets, model artifacts, and
embeddings through encryption and access governance.
• Secure AI workloads in cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including
containerized and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Integrate AI systems with enterprise identity and access management, cloud security
posture controls, application security scanning, runtime monitoring, and vulnerability
management platforms.
• Define AI-specific logging, telemetry, detection strategies, and incident response
readiness.
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance and code-level review when required

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or
related technical field.
• Strong experience in cybersecurity with demonstrated exposure to AI/ML, cloud, or
application security.
• 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience (software engineering, cloud
engineering/SRE, systems architecture, ML engineering, or DevOps).
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures and MLOps frameworks.
• Experience with threat modeling methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python and secure coding practices.
• Experience working within enterprise environments that include identity management,
cloud posture controls, application security scanning, runtime monitoring, and
vulnerability management tools.
• Experience securing cloud-native platforms and containerized workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The production and maintenance of CAD models, drawings and parts lists that are compliant with all company standards, associated within the work package(s) assigned to you.

  • The production and reporting of Design Assurance documentation, including, but not limited to, design reports, test procedures and Hand/Stress calculations, such as interference fits, thermal growth, hoop and tensile stresses, thread loadings and tolerance analyses, in support of the work package/s.

  • Removing risk, by supporting engineering design investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities, in order to develop mature products or technical concepts. This task involves both new technology (R&T and R&D), and improvements to existing product lines (Through Life Support).

The Role

What you’ll be doing:
Leading the technical delivery of managed service components from design through to deployment and live operation.
Collaborating with technical leadership to enhance delivery efficiency and cohesion across multiple technology areas.
Shaping strategic direction and roadmaps for key delivery domains.
Acting as the technical lead, providing guidance to teams and stakeholder engagement.
Ensuring architecture governance, compliance, and integrity of customer environments.
Reporting to the Solution Lead and working within an agile, multi-skilled team including security, service, and management disciplines.

What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in delivering secure, resilient, large-scale IaaS, PaaS, and workplace solutions.
Strong skills in creating and owning technical design artefacts such as HLDs and LLDs.
Ability to problem-solve and present ideas using various design thinking methods.
Experience managing and motivating teams to meet delivery plans.
Skilled in Agile development methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with senior internal and customer stakeholders.
Must hold DV clearance and be a single UK national, with experience working in highly secure, mission-critical environments.

Principal Systems Engineer(Software/Simulation) Portsmouth-Broad Oak Up to 75k% Bonus

My client a multinational Aerospace & Defence organisation are looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team working on a hybrid basis.

You will join the clients Simulation and Training sector at Broad Oak Works Portsmouth, part of the Maritime and Land Defence Solutions business, working on the MIMESIS product.

As a System Technical Lead within the MIMESIS team, you will have technical responsibility for the design and development of new modules/content for the product, reviewing and approving lower level documentation. You will also provide technical guidance to the engineering team, working closely with System Design Authority, to develop and support MIMESIS for their customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership with a team of systems and software engineers, and directly support the product System Design Authority
  • Apply the principles of Systems Engineering to develop software-based Simulation Systems across the full engineering lifecycle
  • Undertake Simulation Systems equipment design, network design and software design
  • Lead requirement decomposition and manage specifications using tools like IBM DOORS Next
  • Direct architectural modelling and interface definitions in tools such as CATIA Magic (Cameo)
  • Drive system integration and define acceptance strategies for software-based systems
  • Lead technical reviews and ensure compliance with customer, legislative & business requirements

Your skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrable experience of the application of Systems Engineering for software-based products
  • Model Based Systems Engineering(MBSE) - (Highly desirable)
  • Expertise in Systems Engineering and Software integration lifecycle principles (ISO 15288 and 12207)
  • Strong background in requirements management (e.g., IBM DOORS Next - desirable)
  • Familiarity with engineering lifecycle models (Waterfall & Agile) and tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Background in software development and integration
  • Technical leadership and ability to guide teams across disciplines to shape design solutions
  • Ideally from a Defence background
