The SRP Project is currently in the Construction phase which incorporates procurement, manufacture, works test, installation, and commissioning. This role is required to provide both design support activities to the supply chain, along with completion of outstanding design scope from earlier project phases.
As a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer, your responsibilities could include; * Designing instrumentation systems and specifying instruments (producing and checking datasheets, loop diagrams, and termination diagrams) for pressure, differential pressure, flow, speed, temperature, and level. * Experience integrating COTS building service packages (low‑pressure steam, low‑pressure hot water, domestic hot water, condensate recovery, compressed air, etc.) into building design, including interfacing with control systems and power distribution * Producing, checking and reviewing CE&I design deliverables to programme deadlines and to appropriate relevant standards, codes, and regulations. * Experience with Building Management Systems, including specification, design development, installation, and commissioning. * To integrate and coordinate the above CE&I systems into the wider SRP Plant, via Building Interface Modelling (BIM), working with the other engineering and non-technical disciplines. * Support the project Commissioning team activities. * Experience of CE&I installation on a nuclear site, including production of method statements and CDM design risk assessments, as well as resolving snags and advising the RE on the acceptability of snag/FOB resolutions
As a Senior Control an Instrumentation Engineer, you will already: * Have excellent communication skills and is able to interface with all levels of the engineering organisation. * Have a BEng/MEng degree or HND/HNC in a relevant field, or demonstrable equivalent experience. * Professionally registered or be working towards professional registration with a recognised engineering institution (e.g. IET, InstMC). * Demonstrable experience in a similar role, previous Nuclear experience is highly desirable though not essential providing that suitable experience can be demonstrated
