Meridian are working with a well-established industrial contractor in the Merseyside area that are looking for an additional Project Manager to help deliver an industrial project, expected to run for another 6-months. As their Electrical Project Manager, you will be overseeing the teams of industrial electricians as they install heavy duty containment, SWA’s, control panels etc. and working with commercial and contract directors to safely and profitably deliver this project.

Rate negotiable within £30/hr - £35/hr range (CIS or PAYE Equivalent)
Immediate starts available (subject to successful application)
40-hours Monday - Friday
6-month expected project duration, with option to join company on a permanent basisafterwards if desired
Mixture of office-based and site-based, both in Merseyside
Working with onsite management to successfully deliver industrial project in Bootle, L20 area

Requirements for this role:

Electrical qualifications
SMSTS required

Qualified to BS EN16005 and BS 7036 standards
Full UK driving licence
Strong mechanical and electrical skills (including installation and 18th Edition wiring regulations desirable)
CSCS card
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic and manual door systems
Knowledge of safety regulations and health & safety practices (including working at height, manual handling, asbestos awareness)
Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Willingness to travel and work at various client sites, including overnight stays if required
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check for safeguarded sites

Desirable:

Experience with Record, Geze, Assa Abloy, Dorma, Kone, or Label systems
SPA Forecourt qualification
Working knowledge of planned maintenance and repair of automatic and manual doors, stand-alone access control systems, panic hardware, floor springs, door closers, and locks

As our Engineer, you’ll be working as part of a sizable national refrigeration service and install team (over 20 Engineers), usually covering the area in between Stoke - Warrington. You know you will be home every night and that’s important to you.

On rare occasions you may be asked to help further afield to cover holiday/sickness, but only in extreme circumstances. There is paid overtime.

No two days will be the same, you will support on installation, planned service and fault-finding reactive diagnostics work covering controllers, refrigeration circuits, cooling issues, PLC updates, valves and calibration work - so there will be plenty of variety for you.

You will be managed by an experienced hands-on service manager who joined the business as an apprentice and is now leading the engineering team.

· You’ll be competent electrically and mechanically on suitable refrigeration circuits and climatic systems
