Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults;
  • Repair electrical systems toensure they are consistent with Health and Safety standards;
  • Some mechanical experience preferred but not essential;
  • Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly;
  • Carrying out quality inspections on jobs;
  • Liaising with client departments, customers alongside other engineering and production associates;

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Recognised time served engineering apprenticeship, together with at least 2 years’ experience in a facilities or maintenance role. Newly qualified apprentices and Ex Forces applicants will be considered
  • Minimum ONC or City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent (Technical Certificate, etc.)
  • 18th Edition, IPAF and Testing and Inspection preferred but not essential.

Required Skills

  • Team working skills to work cooperatively and liaise with people at all levels;
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and terms with an emphasis on Health and Safety requirements
  • Strong project management with an emphasis to improve reliability.
  • Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Knowledge of appropriate office software applications.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • An understanding of engineering drawings and principles.

The Aftersales & Warranty Engineer is responsible for providing a single, professional point of contact for customers for all aftersales and warranty-related issues. The successful candidate will comprise part of a wider, multi-national Joint Design Office team responsible for supporting Review and Acceptance of design activities of a classified plant. This dynamic and multi-disciplinary design team undertake the important intelligent customer role on behalf of the Project.

The Joint Design Office (JDO) has been created to reinforce site-based engineering to quickly respond to engineering queries/problems coming from site construction to deliver the schedule and to deliver an increased scope of work. Overview

  • The post-holder will be a Welding or Materials Engineer, contributing to the technical assessment of engineering queries raised by the site Contractor on the M&E scope across the CI/BOP and Nuclear Island buildings.
  • The role will consist of both client and responsible designer activities.
  • The role will be focused on the welding discipline but will interface with other disciplines and with several parties, such the site Contractors (composed of main suppliers and sub-suppliers), Construction teams, Quality teams, Project Management teams, or Design teams (embedded within the JDO organisation on site, or in back office).

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to General Queries, Non-Conformances, Change Request, and Exemption Requests originating from the MEH Contractor on site, with the support of the Responsible Designer or site Experts when needed.
