Role Purpose

The Mechanical Engineer will provide specialist engineering support for injection moulding operations at Hallite Seals International. The role ensures that moulding machinery, tooling, and associated mechanical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to meet production, quality, and business performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain injection moulding machines and related equipment.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems to maximise machine uptime.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and machine history information.

2. Process and Production Support

• Ensure all machinery complies with PUWER, LOLER, HSE, and internal safety standards.
• Conduct engineering risk assessments and support safe systems of work.
• Maintain technical documentation including drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture across maintenance and production teams.

5. Cross-Functional Support & Continuous Improvement
