In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and maintaining their Linux environment, working closely with IT Infrastructure and Software Development teams to ensure systems whether internal platforms or customer-facing services are scalable, secure, and efficient.

You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the group s Linux estate, as well as providing support for their AWS infrastructure. This includes automating infrastructure tasks such as environment builds, scaling, monitoring, and patching. In addition, you will ensure compliance with internal records and security standards, document systems, and follow change management protocols.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Linux experience and knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS. Scripting experience in Python or Bash is also important to succeed in this role.

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer, with knowledge of LK metrology Camio software for a 6-month role in Worcestershire.

Able to assist in the workload of creating new programmes to align new machines.

Support to validate the new programs prior to using them in a production environment. This typically involves checking the CMM programs have the correct nominal/tolerances programmed in and the correct features on the component are being probed, followed by a repeatability check.

This role falls inside IR35 and would require the use of an Umbrella Company.

• Must be a Sole UK National (due to program security restrictions).
• Ideally holds UK Government Security Clearance as this will be required.

Tasks include:

• Creation of new programs to align a new CMM machine.
• Review and update all of the current programs to ensure efficiency/accuracy
• Reverse engineering programming for historic tooling
• Working closely with our current inspectors to improve their CMM programming and understanding

Essential skills / Experience:

• Excellent understanding/knowledge of LK metrology Camio software
• Excellent understanding/knowledge of GD&T
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong metrology background

As the Embedded Ada Software Engineer you will work across the entire software engineering lifecycle, from discussing requirement change with the Systems team, all the way to being involved with qualification and software releases.

Responsibilites

• Develop and maintain safety-critical command and control (C2) software for advanced maritime and land-based missile systems, ensuring compliance with rigorous industry and defence standards.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering teams to review, analyse, and implement evolving system requirements throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Design, code, test, and verify Ada-based software solutions, maintaining high standards of quality, documentation, and traceability in a safety-critical environment.

• Experience in developing Linux and networking applications.
