What You’ll Bring
You will bring a foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally holding an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Being comfortable working at height or in confined spaces, as well as working both independently and within a team, will help you thrive. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 2nd Line Support Engineer to support and maintain server infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid foundational experience who is looking to deepen their skills across infrastructure, backend systems, and some frontend/server-facing technologies.
You will work closely with senior engineers to support, monitor, and maintain systems, assist with upgrades, and ensure platform stability within a highly regulated environment.

Job Title: Windows Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a hand-on Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer to secure and operate a MoD-hosted private cloud environment and its associated services.
You will play a key role in active defence of live services, combining security, vulnerability management, platform hardening, and operational security assurance.
You will work across infrastructure, platform and data layers to ensure systems are secure, compliant and resilient within a highly governed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to security events, alerts and incidents across cloud, platform, and application layers.
Execute vulnerability scanning, patch assurance and configuration compliance checks.
Maintain security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and cloud-native controls.
Support ISO 27001 control operation and evidence collection.
Ensure compliance with MoD security standards including JSP 440 and SbD requirements.
Support internal/external audit, accreditation and remediation activities.
Maintain secure configurations, firewall rules, access control policies, and logging standards.
Provide security assurance during change, deployment and release activities.
Support improvement of SecOps processes, SOPs and monitoring automation.
Essential Skills
Experience operating within a Security Operations or SecOps function
Hands-on experience with SIEM (e.g. ELK), EDR and vulnerability tooling
Experience securing Linux and Windows environments
Understanding of ISO 27001 and secure configuration principles
Experience supporting cloud or virtualised platforms (e.g. VMware)
Ability to investigate and respond to security incidents
Strong understanding of operational security within governed environments

Linux Engineer – 6-month contract – London – Outside of IR35 The Linux Engineer will play a central role in upgrading servers to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS while implementing stringent CIS Level 2 security standards across a diverse and business-critical environment. Investigate and resolve issues caused by hardening controls across a varied application estate
Work with container platforms, system security policies, and legacy services to identify root causes

Desktop Support Analyst Rate - £200 (A day)
Location - London (Liverpool Street)

IR35 - Outside KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the primary IT support contact for the London office, handling hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner
Provide end-user support within a Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, including troubleshooting session and application issues via Citrix Director
Manage end-user onboarding and offboarding, including hardware provisioning, account setup, and access management via Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
Maintain and manage hardware inventory, printers, and AV equipment across the London office
Administer and support Microsoft 365 and Windows desktop environments, including user account management and license provisioning
