Role Overview
Responsibilities
Perform database maintenance and update activities
Implement database changes as requested through change management procedures
Release new databases on system
Maintain database change control documentation
Perform routine data and software backup and archiving activities
Perform routine system maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure optimum performance
Diagnose and rectify system failures
Re-start subsystems to recover from failures
Support the Software Manager in system, software and database configuration management activities.
Skill Set
Essential
The candidate should have at least 1 - 2 years’ experience of database administration or system support within a spacecraft operation, or similar mission-critical systems environment. Key skill areas should include the following:

DevOps Engineer Up to £730 per day inside ir35 Active SC clearance required London/ Hybrid - 2/3 days per week onsite We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable infrastructure and applications within a cloud-based environment. This role requires strong expertise in infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, and platform engineering within AWS. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt to deploy and update services in AWS.
Build and manage machine images and container images for third-party COTS tools, incorporating platform-specific enhancements such as log aggregation and PKI integration.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of infrastructure and application components.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application and infrastructure layers, including support for Linux and Windows virtual machines and hosted applications.
Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and operational processes.
Contribute to maintaining high service quality, reliability, and system performance.Required Skills & Experience Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer in cloud environments, particularly AWS.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

Experience supporting both Linux and Windows environments.
