Commercial Capability Development Lead- 6 month contractor

Purpose of the Role
This role is pivotal in executing key projects within the capability agenda for our commercial FF organisation. Acting as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, you will translate business priorities into a robust learning journey that closes skill gaps, drives behavioral change, and delivers measurable impact.
You bring deep expertise in learning design and adult development principles, combined with strong coaching skills and the ability to influence at senior levels. You understand the 70-20-10 framework and apply it creatively to embed learning in the flow of work. You are passionate about building a high-performance culture and can demonstrate ROI through data-driven insights.
Key Accountabilities/Projects
Field Force Acceleration Programme (Commercial) - Build & Execute
Own the end-to-end delivery of the Field Force Acceleration Programme and translate business priorities into practical, field-ready learning interventions.
Work closely with Field Leaders and Commercial Development Managers to ensure:
a. Clear role expectations
b. Consistent coaching standards
Support preparation, delivery and follow-up of FF acceleration activity (including Starter to Expert capability support plan from May 2026)
Field Manager Upskilling Aligned to Project DRIVE (long-term, consolidated approach and vision we are implementing within our sales team).
Design and deliver manager upskilling interventions explicitly linked to project DRIVE and our new steps of a call process. Delivery across face-to-face and virtual channels.
Strengthen:
o Call quality
o In-role coaching capability of our managers
o Consistent application of DRIVE in field activity
Alongside SME’s, create a (functional) manager onboarding program and execute with the new starter population.
Field-Led, Insight-Driven Delivery

Key Requirements
CIPD Level 5+ or degree equivalent with proven experience in L&D strategy, design, and delivery at scale. Commercial experience or background preferred.
Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and coaching methodologies.
Expertise in end-to-end capability building for commercial and field organisations, preference for this to be functional (commercial/sales).
Confident in engaging audiences large or small through facilitating learning content (face to face and online).
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
Demonstrated ability to link learning outcomes to business performance and ROI.
Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and coaching methodologies.
Self-starter with strategic thinking and strong attention to detail.
Manhattan Configuration Lead: - Lead the WMS configuration effort for medium to complex deployments for DHL Strategic WMS products (MAWM) - Demonstrates solution ownership attributes; instil confidence in business teams regarding a safe pair of hands from a configuration and overall solution point of view. - Solving technical issues of high complexity - Guide the team regarding any tasks that require a higher degree of technical expertise - Translate the business process flow outputs and business requirements into configuration specific tasks and perform configuration - Deliver extension changes to support the non-standard system requirements - Deliver integration changes in line with customer and application-2-application needs - MAWM extensive knowledge; WMOS knowledge preferred too (to demonstrate brevity) - Report writing (IBM Cognos) - Integration changes including MHE integration - Extensive knowledge of SQL - 5+ years as configuration resource - Previously led MAWM projects - Wide knowledge of 3PL
