As a Qualification Instructure Systems Engineer you will report to the Lead Hardware Systems Engineer and Project Design Authority as applicable. Your responsibilities will include estimation of development activities, design of technical solutions, implementation of proposed solutions and the testing involved in verifying them. You will also be required to help in diagnosing with reported issues. This role will require the need to travel to test house.
As part of the development team you will be expected to work closely with your team members, as well as providing support to other teams such as business winning, development, test, and support teams.
You will support the design, qualification and implementation of our deliveries at the operational level. In other words, not only will you be responsible for ensuring the components comprising our systems meet their requirements but you will be responsible for ensuring our delivered products operates and integrates.
An Qualification Infrastructure Systems Engineer is also responsible for helping to ensure the overall Physical, Electrical and Environmental compliance of the delivered System, ensuring it meets both BAE Systems Product Safety mandates and the statutory requirements of the customer’s base of operation.

You will need to be very proactive and comfortable working with teams outside of the SW department, and be experienced in Digital Signal Processing techniques (SDR) and able to develop embedded SW in C. To be able to work in a lab based environment using various test tools such as scopes, logic analysers, bespoke test equipment and host based testing.
Responsibilities:
An Embedded Software C Engineer capable of developing, integrating and testing embedded Software
Producing test requirements & test scripts for Unit, Subsystem and System level testing on both host and target platforms
Running tests, analysing results and using target test facilities such as debuggers, probes, logic analysers and oscilloscopes
Documentation and Design work in UML
Integration of software components with ARM multi-core platforms, FPGA subsystems and RF transceiver interfaces
Support real-time TX/RX data processing, buffering and performance optimisation on embedded targets
Contribute to system integration and verification of Software Defined Radio (SDR) datalink capability
Skillset/experience required:
Experience of Digital Signal Processing
Experience of the C Programming Language
Experience of testing software products for ARM based multi-core processing platforms
Experience of communications protocols (e.g. SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCI-Express)
Experience of DOORS
Experience of test tools and techniques in both host and target environments
Experience of test tools such as LDRA or equivalent for host testing
Experience in model-based development, either in SysML/UML
Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems such as PikeOS or FreeRTOS
Understanding of real-time embedded data handling mechanisms such as DMA, interrupts and shared memory
Exposure to wireless modulation or waveform processing concepts (desirable)
Experience working with FPGA or SDR based embedded systems (desirable)

We are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer working a days and nights shift pattern in our high speed maintenance department.
Key Duties:
* Responding rapidly to breakdowns across high-speed production and packaging lines.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime and improve asset reliability.
* Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on a wide range of equipment, including conveyors, motors, PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, RCA, OEE improvement).
* Keeping detailed records via our CMMS and ensuring all work is completed to health & safety standards.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment.
* Apprentice-trained or formally qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline (ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Strong fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Experience with PLC-controlled machinery (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) is desirable.
* A proactive, team-oriented approach and a calm, logical mindset under pressure.
