WE Talent are partnering with a growing business to recruit a Project Manager to join their Systems team, supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of business-critical systems and processes.

This is a varied, hands-on role focused on scoping, coordinating and delivering projects across the business. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, support the implementation of system and process improvements, and ensure new solutions are successfully embedded.

This is not a heavily technical role. Instead, it’s ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people, processes and systems together, taking ownership of projects from initial idea through to delivery and review.

The role

• Working with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and scope new projects and improvements
• Coordinating the delivery of systems and process changes from concept through to implementation
• Acting as the link between internal teams and external partners / third-party providers
• Supporting the rollout of new systems, integrations and process improvements
• Leading on user acceptance testing (UAT), pilot activity and post-implementation reviews
• Ensuring changes are embedded effectively through training, guidance and communication
• Monitoring outcomes and identifying further improvements
• Supporting the ongoing development and optimisation of core business systems, including ERP and warehouse systems
• Managing multiple projects and change initiatives at different stages

About you

We’re open to background, but you’re likely to have experience in:

• Project Management, Project Coordination, Business Change or Systems delivery roles
• Delivering systems, process or operational change projects within a commercial environment
• Working with or alongside business systems such as ERP, WMS, CRM or similar platforms

You’ll also be:

• A strong communicator, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Naturally organised, able to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving forward

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within modern agile teams, influence quality practices end-to-end, and play a key role in delivering secure, high-quality solutions across a variety of technology stacks.If you’re passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and building quality into every stage of delivery, we’d love to hear from you.What you’ll be doingAs a Quality Engineer at TXP, you’ll work closely with cross-functional agile teams (typically 4–8 engineers), contributing across the full testing lifecycle. Your role will include:

• Designing, developing and enhancing automated test solutions aligned to agreed standards
• Performing detailed test analysis and design for complex, integrated systems, often in regulated environments
• Applying modern quality practices such as TDD, BDD and risk-based testing
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and promoting shift-left quality approaches
• Providing assurance and testing across all levels, including:
  • Unit, Component and Component Integration Testing (CIT)
  • System, Integration and End-to-End (E2E) testing
  • Non-Functional Testing (NFR)
  • Supporting UAT and BAT where required
• Managing test data, artefacts and supporting documentation
• Contributing to business requirements analysis when needed
• Collaborating with developers through pair-programming
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced testing colleagues
• Working in line with TXP’s technical, quality and service standards

You’ll also work alongside peers supporting a wider range of testing initiatives such as automation, performance and penetration testing.What we’re looking forYou’ll bring strong experience as a Quality Engineer or Test Automation professional, ideally within agile and enterprise-scale environments. We’re particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Proven experience developing and maintaining automated test suites
• Strong understanding of agile, iterative delivery
• Experience working with Continuous Integration and CI/CD pipelines
• Confidence working to defined policies, standards and quality frameworks
• Ability to prioritise work effectively to meet delivery deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, coaching mindset

Technical skills & toolingYou don’t need experience with everything listed, but exposure to some of the following would be highly beneficial:

• Testing & Automation: JUnit, Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman
• Non-Functional Testing: Gatling, OWASP ZAP
• DevOps & Platforms: Git / GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure and/or AWS
• Accessibility: WCAG, WAVE, Axe

• Design, build and enhance applications using Java, React, and associated frameworks
• Work across the full SDLC: design, development, testing, defect resolution and deployment
• Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for both internal systems and customer projects
• Play an active role in Agile/Scrum delivery, including sprint planning and ceremonies
• Take ownership of your work, ensuring delivery meets agreed quality, functionality and timescales
• Support and mentor junior developers and contractors, sharing best practice and raising capability
• Collaborate closely with TXP colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers
• Help shape and follow technical standards, development practices and delivery guidelines
• Build strong, trusted relationships through clear communication and a quality-first mindset

What we’re looking forYou’ll be an experienced developer who enjoys hands-on work and technical leadership. We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with:

• Strong commercial experience with Java (1.6 /1.8)
• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, Spring, and Oracle PL/SQL
• Good hands-on experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework
• Experience designing and delivering microservices architectures
• Knowledge of build, deployment and containerisation tools such as Maven, Docker and/or Kubernetes
• A solid background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, TDD, CI/CD and quality-driven development
• A strong understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles
• Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills

Nice to have (but not essential):

• Experience with Azure and/or AWS
• Exposure to AI / LLM tooling
• Knowledge of technical architecture, SOA or CBD
• Linux and bash scripting skills
