What you’ll be doing:
The Professional Services team is a part of the Strategic Development Group within Naval Ships Combat Systems. The team focuses on early lifecycle operational experimentation and research working collaboratively with customers and industry partners primarily in the Integrated Air and Missile Defence area.
As an engineer in Professional Services, you will be at the forefront of developing, testing, and demonstrating capability utilising in-service and future Naval Combat Systems. You will be working both in the virtualised environment and with operational hardware in the Maritime Integration and Support Centre in Portsmouth.

The Role:
This role will manage small-scale digital transformation and IT projects, managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation to handover to business as usual. The Project Manager will manage a number of smaller-scale technical projects concurrently, working with stakeholders from the business and IT to produce accurate and achievable delivery plans to enable projects to be successfully delivered. iO Associates have partnered with an Engineering firm in Eastleigh on their search to bring in a Cyber Security Champion, ideally on a Permanent basis.
You will take ownership of cyber security across the organisation. This is a senior, autonomous role suited to someone with a strong background in cyber security who can independently lead initiatives, bring systems up to regulatory standards, and embed best practices across the business.
You will act as the central authority for cyber security, working across teams to gather information, define plans, and implement the controls and processes required to ensure systems, infrastructure, and networks meet security and regulatory requirements. This position requires someone comfortable operating without close supervision, capable of running the cyber security function, coordinating with stakeholders across the organisation, and driving security improvements efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
This role will be based out of Eastliegh on a Hybrid basis, ideally on a 4:1 split initially whilst the requirements and documentation are being gathered. If you have experience with IEC 62443, this would be a HUGE bonus.
