• Providing advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers delivering the programmes and ensuring the safety considerations (DEF STAN 0055/0056) are correctly considered and implemented
• Engaging with third parties, to review and gather supporting safety case evidence
• Developing safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analysis methods e.g. (FHA/STPA/FMEA/FTA) producing and updating safety case and safety management documentation using appropriate regulations and standards

• Applying ALARP principles

The Combat Systems Safety Team

Working closely with several engineers and technical specialists on both In-Service and In-Build Combat Systems, you will have the opportunity to work on developing safety arguments. We are currently recruiting for two Project Engineers to join us at our Skelmersdale site within our Muller Milk & Ingredients business. Due to the nature of the role, some travel will therefore be required and a UK drivers licence is essential.

The purpose of a project Engineer within Muller is to deliver best in class engineering projects to support the goals of the business vision in alignment with the OGSM strategic plan. You will be delivering engineering projects on time, in budget to a high quality standard.

As Project Engineer, the key responsibilities will include:

• Play an active part in continuously improving our systems and business and support improvement activities/events within all areas.
