Project Overview:

The Project is the expansion of an existing process facility located on a Nuclear site in Capenhurst, Cheshire (UK). A national house builder have a requirement for a Design Engineer to join their Design team overseeing Civils Design packages and technical approvals for new build developments.

Design Engineer role

Reporting to the Design Manager you will undertake the engineering design from land appraisal through to construction. you will be responsible for appointing Consultants, agreeing fees, liaising with statutory authorities and ensuring that design sits within budget.

Duties to include:

  • Undertake the required highway and drainage designs for projects to secure the approval of and , where appropriate, progress the adoption agreement with relevant Statutory Authorities.
  • Ensure the earthworks required across developments are designed in the mot cost effective way possible
  • Advise the land and planning department on the technical viability of new sites
  • Assist in the production of layouts and technical report for land appraisals and required working drawings

Senior Design Engineer experience required:

  • Proficient using Causeway design packages (PDS flow), micro drainage and AutoCAD
