About The Role

Were looking for a Lead Data Architect to join our digital transformation consultancy.

This is a strategic role that leads data strategy for public sector clients. Lead Data Architects look at data holistically, supporting clients to define the vision for data in their organisation.

As a Data Architect, you will:

• Guide and support clients to define data strategy in line with broader organisational strategy
• Map where and how data is used and stored across a client organisation
• Design data architecture
• Set data standards, design governance, and define ways of working for data

You will bring a user-centered approach to data, ensuring that data meet the needs of users and stakeholders and helps the client to deliver effective services.

You’ll operate as a trusted advisor, liaising with senior client stakeholders.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across design, technology, and delivery. You will lead smaller engagements or play a senior role on larger ones. You will be the source of oversight and advice on data for the wider team and for the client. The Lead level is aligned to level 6 in theSFIA framework.

You will also support the development of junior colleagues and contribute to team culture and business development.

Responsibilities

Understanding data landscapes

• Analyse client data landscapes and document data systems, mapping data assets, information flows and user needs
• Create documentation, visual artefacts and architecture diagrams including data landscapes, data flows, and catalogued data products.
• Conduct Data Maturity Assessments assessing staff capabilities and data usage for decision making

Developing data strategy

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to design data strategies aligned to organisation strategy and goals
• Develop prioritised roadmaps to implement data strategy
• Conduct options appraisals
• Advise on data capabilities and operating models, providing support to build data literacy where necessary
• Advise on AI adoption, assessing AI readiness

Implementing data strategy

• Develop data standards, create data catalogues, identify data owners and design governance processes to maintain data quality and usability
• Design interoperable data solutions to meet client needs, advising on selection and implementation of data products and tools

Stakeholder management

• Facilitate workshops and interviews with clients and users to understand user needs and organisational priorities
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, building trust with senior stakeholders

• Lead project workstreams or small/medium client work in data-related engagements

Internal responsibilities

• Contribute to the continual development of our technology and data practice, mentor or line manage more junior consultants and contribute to internal learning

As a Systems Design Engineer you’ll support product development of C2 systems for a range of domestic and export customers in maritime and land application air defence. Command and Control is at the heart of the weapon system, The C2 system provides the weapon system operator with the means to understand the complex battlespace, manage the weapon system and perform engagements. The C2 software identifies what threats exist, and in response to the Operator’s request for engagements, creates an optimal engagement solution, taking into consideration a number complex and ever-changing constraints. The C2 then initiates the missile firings, and supports the engagement through to its conclusion by maintaining communication with the missile in flight. Day to day you’ll be supporting the functional design of the C2 software, working closely with the system architect and software architect. As a Technical Lead Engineer – Materials and Coatings, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the construction and delivery of Hinkley Point C. Your work will help drive technical excellence across materials, coatings and corrosion challenges, supporting our transition towards An Electric Britain.

You’ll join us on a starting salary of £64,232 per annum. This is an on‑site role, working at #HPC and #SDC, where your expertise will directly support construction teams and technical specialists in a fast‑paced environment.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Technical Lead Engineer – Materials and Coatings who thrives on cross‑disciplinary problem solving, and who brings a collaborative, proactive approach to complex engineering challenges. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:

• Experience or knowledge of corrosion modelling for buried and exposed elements (ISO 9223, BS 9295)
• Experience of onsite engineering
• Degree (or equivalent) in Material Engineering
• Experience of authoring technical documentation
• Practical experience of material characterisation and testing
• Evidence of supporting sustainable material selection
• Proven ability to digest technical coating documentation and advise on the impact of changes

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Overview

EDF is seeking a Performance Information Technical Lead to own the governance, architecture, and operational model of its Power BI and Microsoft Fabric estate within the HPC programme.

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for transitioning a growing, business-led reporting environment into a secure, enterprise-governed analytics platform aligned to Information Design Authority (IDA), security, and regulatory standards.

You will act as the technical authority for the tenant, defining governance frameworks, lifecycle processes, and platform standards while optimising licensing, capacity, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Governance Framework

• Design and implement the enterprise Power BI governance model, including:

• Workspace strategy and segmentation

• RBAC and security group model

• Dev/Test/Prod lifecycle and deployment pipelines

• Advanced Power Query diagnostics and optimisation
