The Role

As an Integration Engineer (Civils), you will support the Area Integration Senior Engineer in ensuring that planned works - typically 16 weeks ahead of implementation - are credible, coordinated, and deliverable.

You will review construction sequences for civil infrastructure and external works, checking that:

  • Activities are logically sequenced
  • Interfaces with other disciplines are understood
  • Materials, plant and access arrangements are available
  • Constraints and clashes are identified early
  • Key schedule milestones are protected
  • You will work across multiple contractors and stakeholders, helping to resolve ‘hotspots’ and supporting Best for Project decision-making.

Please note this isnt a design or programming focused role, so an Electrical Controls Engineer whos worked in an end-user environment could be well suited. Electrical Control Engineers who are drives / PLC biased or EC&I biased, could be equally well suited too.

Key aspects of the Electrical Controls Engineer position include;

  • Electrical Controls Engineers will need a UK driving licence and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • Surveying customer sites to determine electrical and control solutions (typically day trips in the North West and Midlands) - estimate one site visit per week; most customers are within a 2-hour drive of the office
  • Review drawings, specifying control panels, cable and containment routes, power and networking and provide to panel builders
  • Able to work across multiple technology platforms including PLC, HMI & Variable Speed Drives
  • Conduct FATs
  • Preparation of cost proposals; including specifying hardware, costing hardware and electrical equipment
  • Developing project documentation including I/O schedules, hardware/panel design & test specifications, cable/termination schedules
  • Electrical Controls Engineer will be mainly office based

Electrical Controls Engineer will have some of the following technical experience;

  • Experience specifying, configuring and/or commissioning Variable Speed Drives

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead the Branch’s contribution to delivering Nuclear Services task orders, ensuring strategic objectives are clearly defined and aligned with Nuclear Services, EPRE, and licensee goals. The Branch comprises multiple disciplines, including Radiological Consequences, Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA), Severe Accidents, Dosimetry, Shielding, Internal and External Hazards. The teams within work across the full breadth of the nuclear lifecycle. Priorities will be communicated effectively to ensure clarity and focus across the team. A key part of your role will involve influencing and negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes.

You’ll develop and manage relationships with regulatory bodies such as the ONR, building trust and maintaining open, professional dialogue. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the Branch’s budget and cost control, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient use of resources. You’ll also be responsible for creating and delivering short, medium, and long-term (rolling 5-year) business plans to guide the Branch’s development.

You’ll actively seek out opportunities to grow and improve Branch performance while ensuring all activities are well-resourced and effectively managed. Who you are

You’ll bring strong knowledge of nuclear plant design—whether under construction, operational, or undergoing defueling within the UK—alongside a solid understanding of UK-specific legislative requirements, including Nuclear Site Licence Conditions. You’ll hold a degree in engineering or a relevant science discipline and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.

You’ll have proven experience in leading teams and managing budgets, with the ability to guide projects through change in evolving environments. You’ll be confident working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams, able to assess a wide range of technical issues quickly, and make sound, evidence-based decisions. Your ability to clearly communicate strategic or project recommendations to senior leaders will be key to your success.

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a high-caliber Azure Architect to lead complex infrastructure transformations. In this role, you won’t just design solutions; you will govern the technical strategy, mentor a dedicated team of engineers, and bridge the gap between deep technical Linux administration and high-level Azure cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Strategy & Assessment: Lead end-to-end On-prem/Public Cloud assessments using Azure Migrate. You will be responsible for understanding customer landscapes and designing robust Azure Landing Zones.
  • Architectural Leadership: Develop High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, including comprehensive target architecture diagrams and Bill of Materials (BoM).
