About the Role

About the role of Factory Engineering Manager at Refresco Beverages:

The role involves assisting in the development of engineering tools and techniques, including creating simple setting, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance guides to reduce reliance on OEM training and breakdown support. An experienced Project Engineer is urgently required to join an established projects team. As projects engineer for a manufacturing leader it is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative engineering solutions within a thriving and specialist industry.

As Project Engineer with strong engineering knowledge and a proven track record of delivering successful projects ideally within food processing or a similar engineering environment.

The Role

This is primarily an office-based position with occasional visits to customer sites. Some UK overnight stays and possible international travel may be required. You may also oversee installations on-site and coordinate subcontractors both in the UK and overseas.

As Project Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from order receipt through installation to final handover, acting as the key point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Define and agree project scope with customers and the sales team

Develop and manage project schedules (Gantt charts)

Produce essential project documentation including: Scope of Supply; Timing plans; P&IDs BOMs; Preliminary layout drawings

Specify and source components and equipment

Manage project changes effectively

Coordinate delivery, installation, and commissioning including:

-Customer acceptance testing (FAT/PDI)

-Packing, shipping, and export documentation

-Installation planning, RAMS, and resource booking

-Site Acceptance Testing, training, and documentation handover

Maintain commercial awareness, ensuring timely invoicing and project close-out

Skills & Experience Required

Experience in a similar project engineering role within a process engineering environment (food industry preferred)

Demonstrated success delivering engineering projects

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across all business levels

Proactive, positive, can-do approach

Proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word; MS Project ,AutoCAD LT

Knowledge of steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipework, and basic electrical control systems highly advantageous

Full UK driving licence required
