I am currently representing a leading HVAC specialist who is currently in search of a static Fabric maintenance engineer to join one of their sites in Leicester. The successful candidate will be providing planned maintenance and servicing and join a team of experienced engineers on site to work alongside with.
With three offices based within the UK, the company has grown from strength to strength since launching in in 2002 and provides building performance assets, planned and reactive maintenance solutions and capital projects works throughout the UK.
They mainly work with a wide variety of retail, hotel and leisure and commercial multi tenanted office spaces. The ideal candidate will have come from building services/ commercial maintenance background.
They are currently in search of a static resident fabric engineer to join one of their sites based in Leicester to provide M&E maintenance and servicing to a wide variety of components including but not limited to:
Emergency light testing, fire alarm tests
Perform basic plumbing work such as unblocking drains, replacing tap washers, and fixing leaks.
Conduct basic non-invasive electrical tasks (e.g., lamp replacements, checking sockets) in support of the Electrical Engineer.
Assemble, relocate, or dismantle furniture and fittings as required.
Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with Health & Safety standards and centre regulations.
Support weekly and monthly compliance checks (e.g., emergency lighting, fire exit condition, water flushing where needed).
This role is based on a 40-hour week, with the shift pattern being 7-3.30 (this can be flexible), this also includes no call out as the company has a mobile team to provide coverage for this.

About the role
Reporting directly to the engineering manager, the role is to be the day to day onsite and technical lead within the operations team for our fire and life safety department. Focused on servicing, reactive calls and commissioning. This includes high level commissioning and fault finding various systems. Whilst also being involved in the development of our current engineering team from both a technical and personal level.
Fire Alarm Commissioning: Commissioning of fire alarm systems ensuring compliance and accurate documentation. Size of system ranges between standalone 20 device systems to 500+device systems with multiple networked panels.

The role will involve provision of technical accountability on various appraisal and detailed design projects.
