The Role
The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background but be multi skilled in knowledge and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with knowledge of PPM systems and have manufacturing machinery experience, within a fast moving manufacturing process. On a day to day basis, you will work with liquid filling lines, conveyors, printers & labellers, chemical machinery, so ATEX exposure, is useful, automated controlled equipment and a CompEx qualification, further training will be given. What will you be doing?

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Holmes Chapel Mill. This is a hands-on, varied, and rewarding role where youll play a key part in keeping our mill running efficiently, safely, and reliably. Youll be responsible for minimising downtime, improving plant performance, and ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out to the highest standards.
What Youll Be Doing
Responding to breakdowns and carrying out efficient, safe repairs to minimise downtime
Driving continuous improvement in mill performance, reliability, and safety
Managing spare parts stock to ensure quick and effective repairs
Supporting the development of our in-house mill operating systems
Planning maintenance and downtime in collaboration with management
Recording all maintenance activities using our CMMS system
Ensuring all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed on time
Participating in the call-out rota for emergency support
Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, including risk assessments and permits
Keeping the mill environment clean, safe, and compliant
