We are recruiting a DSF Systems Administrator to support our client in delivering a critical programme, due for completion in 2026. The programme will establish a new AWS-hosted Thales Data Security Fabric (DSF) production platform and securely onboard a number of on-premise PostgreSQL databases to support controls.

The new environment will include a dedicated DSF production instance, AWS IaaS-hosted gateway servers and a data warehouse, aligned to existing architectural standards (patching, testing, documentation). Once built, the team will manage the secure onboarding of Postgres databases, ensuring DBA security audit logs (via PGAudit) are ingested, processed and exported for downstream control reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and operate the DSF platform (gateways and data warehouse) within AWS.
  • Support the build and stabilisation of new DSF production infrastructure.
  • Securely onboard on-prem PostgreSQL databases within a fixed regulatory timeframe.
  • Validate data ingestion, transformation and export processes to AWS S3.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data sampling and audit queries.

This role requires strong experience in AWS IaaS environments, PostgreSQL administration, and exposure to database activity monitoring or ETL/security platforms. Experience with Thales DSF or similar technologies is highly desirable.

Located at our office in Bolton, this senior role will see you assume day to day support, management and strategic direction of 20+ different client networks comprising of a mix of on-prem, cloud and Azure. In addition, you will be responsible for our core monitoring tools and build them out to provide 1st class levels of service and up time.

Reporting to the IT Director your prior expertise and experience will also extend to server and infrastructure projects, combining solution design, approach, execution and subsequent management of all aspects of server, network and cloud assets.
