We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Site Facilities Maintenance Technician with a strong Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) background to join a global leader in FMCG manufacturing. Based at a major production facility in Trafford Park, Manchester, this 12-month contract offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Role Overview
Pay Rate: £22.18 per hour (CIS).
Hours: 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
Integrated Maintenance: Execute both mechanical and electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to ensure zero downtime on critical production and facility plant.
Mechanical Systems: Inspect and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and pneumatic systems essential to the manufacturing process.
Electrical Infrastructure: Perform fault finding, motor maintenance, and electrical installations, ensuring all work complies with current regulations.
Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to site engineering emergencies, troubleshooting complex M&E issues to maintain service level agreements.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate site logs and sign off completed tasks via CAFM systems to ensure full statutory compliance.
Safety & Standards: Adhere to strict FMCG hygiene and safety protocols, including RAMS and Permit to Work systems.

Essential Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, such as City & Guilds) in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Proven dual-skilled experience (Multi-Skilled) with the ability to work confidently across both trades.
Experience & Skills:
Industrial Background: Previous experience working within a manufacturing, warehouse, or FMCG environment is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in reading technical drawings, electrical fault finding, and mechanical assembly.
Professionalism: A team player with a “can-do” attitude, able to work well under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.

MEP Design experience is essential and you must have hands-on design experience using Revit and AutoCAD.

The work will involve a mix of in-house development and on-site programming and commissioning to ensure seamless integration of the audio-visual system.Key Responsibilities:Programming: Develop, implement, and test control system programs for audio-visual systems, including but not limited to Crestron, Q-Sys and Extron platforms.Commissioning: Commission and test audio-visual systems both in-house and on-site to ensure optimal performance and integration.Integration: Ensure seamless integration of audio-visual systems with existing infrastructure, such as lighting, HVAC, etc. This may involve some commissioning works.Documentation: Complete AVIT schedules and provide detailed documentation for systems programmed and commissioned.Technical Support and Enhancement: Offer technical assistance both internally within the company and externally to valued customers and partners. This includes activities such as evaluating system designs and collaborating to improve system performance and functionality.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to audio-visual systems, both remotely and on-site, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.Client Training: Provide training to clients on how to operate and maintain audio-visual systems, ensuring they can effectively utilize the technology.Stay Current: Keep up to date with emerging AV technologies, programming languages, and industry standards to recommend improvements and stay at the forefront of the industryThe role is a hybrid one but you will ideally be based in the North West of England salary is doe /neg. circa £45k-£50k p.a. plus car or car allowance, pension and other benefits.

IT Field Engineer (MSP) Base Salary: £30,000 £35,000 Plus Van or £300 p/m Car Allowance & benefits 3 days p/week on-site across Blackpool & 2 days p/week in Burnley (HQ) The opportunity: A well-established MSP is looking for a client-facing Field Engineer to support a growing schools trust across Blackpool. You ll spend three days per week on-site acting as the go-to IT contact for your allocated schools, with the remaining two days based in Burnley alongside the Service Desk team. This is a role with real ownership not just reacting to tickets, but building relationships and providing proactive, hands-on support. There s genuine progression here. We ve seen people join at 1st Line and develop into senior technical roles and even Service Manager level within the business. The management team are big on upskilling their engineers, investing in training and giving people exposure to projects and more responsibility as they grow. If you re ambitious and want more than just a static support role, this environment will suit you. Day to day You ll support Microsoft 365 environments, servers and desktops, assist with Azure and wider Microsoft cloud technologies, and troubleshoot networking issues across DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP. You ll work across VMware and Hyper-V, manage tickets within SLA, liaise with third parties and see issues through to resolution. Who we are looking for You ll have 2 3 years MSP experience and be operating at strong 1st or 2nd Line level. Solid Microsoft 365 knowledge is essential, alongside good infrastructure fundamentals and the confidence to work independently on-site. You ll need to be friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoy the customer-facing side of the role. This suits someone who likes being out in the field, building rapport with school staff and becoming a trusted IT contact. A full UK driving licence is required and an Enhanced DBS will be arranged.
