Based in Uddingston near Glasgow, Daldowie Treatment Works is one of the largest plants of its type in Europe. For nearly 25 years the plant has focussed on creating wdf pellets from sewage sludge reducing environmental impacts as well as creating a new fuel source replacing the need to burn fossil fuels.
Day to day you’ll support the process by providing timely repairs to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance activities including instrumentation calibrations. You’ll ensure that all work is managed and recorded correctly to maintain compliance, inspiring safe ways of working across the site, setting a high standard of EC&I engineering activity, and supporting in rolling out new processes, systems, and ways of working to your colleagues on site.
You’ll be joining a tight knit, dedicated team based on site, who are also part of a larger group with a wide support network.

You’ll need to have experience in solving problems and

You should be educated to at least ONC level in

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to depot maintenance teams during night shifts
• Carry out detailed fault finding and diagnostics on rolling stock systems
• Assist maintenance teams with complex and in-depth faults, sharing fault-finding techniques and supporting the effective use of schematics across rolling stock assets
• Lead and direct the maintenance shift in relation to engineering issues, technical decision-making, and governance compliance
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to improve fleet reliability
