What we look for in the Controls Engineer:

Our client, a Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor within the Water Construction industry is looking for a Civils bias Senior Design Engineer to join their Water team on a permanent basis. Being part of a diverse team, you will help to deliver design deliverables on AMP8 schemes, typically large Non-Infra Water projects, such as Water Treatment Work or Waste Water / Sewage Treatment Works projects (WTW / WwTW).

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will work with Design Engineering staff internally, as well as Design Partners, to ensure feasible and compliant designs are created for water and wastewater projects, working with other Senior, Principal and Design Management professionals, to ensure designs feasibly incorporate other elements such as MEICA deliverables.

Design will need to be checked, adjusted and sent for approval with Design Leads and as a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for mentoring intermediate and junior design engineers, providing technical direction on civil engineering design works, to ensure design work is fit for purpose.

Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading civil designs and managing design packages for Non-Infra Water projects, including RC Structures, Hydraulics, Drainage and associated Civil Engineering works.
  • Coordination and liaison with multidisciplinary teams and supply chain.
  • Preparation of high-quality design drawings and construction-ready documentation.
  • Development of clear, structured design calculations and technical reports.
  • Strong understanding of safety, health, quality, and sustainability principles.
