Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring that production targets are met by providing timely technical support in the correction, prevention, and elimination of technical issues.

• Performing routine and reactive maintenance on production machinery to reduce downtime.
• Conducting electrical and mechanical fault-finding
• Implementing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborating with production teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assisting with new equipment installations and commissioning.
• Keeping detailed maintenance records and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Working unsupervised in accordance with established safe systems of work.

Requirements for the role:

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline (if mech will need to demonstrate elec fault finding experience)
• Experience with PLCs (ideal but not essential).
• Experience in Hydraulics
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Role overview

As the Senior Multiskilled Engineer, you’ll be the go-to person for all things maintenance and engineering on site, owning the day-to-day reliability of the site. You’ll balance hands-on electrical and mechanical work with planning, prioritising, and driving a proactive maintenance culture alongside the operations team.

Working closely with site leadership, you’ll help shape maintenance strategy, support continuous improvement projects, and ensure the site runs safely, efficiently, and in line with strict environmental and operational standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Taking lead responsibility for the safe and efficient running of all assets, prioritising breakdown response and root-cause fixes.
• Planning, carrying out, and improving PPM schedules to minimise downtime and extend equipment life in a harsh, heavy-industrial environment.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair on conveyors, drives, motors, pumps and associated plant, including basic PLC/controls fault diagnosis where required.

What you’ll bring

• Time-served apprenticeship and relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC or similar) in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
• Strong multiskilled background with solid electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills in a production or industrial environment.
• Experience working in heavy manufacturing, or similarly demanding settings where reliability and safety are critical.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to lead, make decisions, and prioritise workload without constant supervision.

As Systems Engineer, you will compile project plans for fleet improvements whilst working with the Fleet Planning Team to best realise the proposed benefits. You will also monitor progress against plans whilst reviewing improvements against project improvement targets.

The Role:

• Take the lead on machine breakdowns and fault resolution
• Support and carry out preventative maintenance
• Order and manage engineering spare parts
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers when needed
• Use and improve preventative/predictive maintenance systems (SAP PM)
• Carry out mechanical and electrical work and support machine operators

Ideal Candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - ideally apprentice trained
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working within manufacturing environments
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems
• Knowledge of AC & DC drives (e.g. Siemens, ABB, SSD)
• Understanding of Siemens S5/S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs
• Good IT skills and willingness to learn SAP PM
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

This role is ideal for a hands-on site role with someone with a strong background inutilities and civil engineering projects, including trenching, deep excavations, and reinforced concrete works.

• Planning the coordination of works alongside the Construction Project Manager, maintaining a 6 week lookahead
• Implementation of CDM checklist requirements
• Effective management of self-delivered work as well as subcontracted packages
• Carrying out inductions and HSEQ inspections
• Drafting and issuing of RAMS and permits
• Adapting pre-established generic ITPs, to site specific permanent works and collating evidence for closure
• Material Take off and leasing with site management for the ordering of material.
• Keeping a site diary of compensation events and reporting any deviation from the cost forecast or well as scope of works
• Setting out with surveying equipment

My client requires a Civil Site Engineer who can both develop and manage our civils Reinforced Concrete (RC) capability, with management of this including setting out, dimensional control, quality assurance and the managing teams of operatives, materials and plant procurement. Ideally experience of working with a DNO and an understanding of substation projects and NEC3 contracts.

• Experience of working in a similar role along with a SSSTS/SMSTS.

• Experience as a Site Engineer dealing with trenching / deep excavations; RC works, duct installation, cable pulling, power.

• Knowledge of CDM compliance, RAMS & ITP production, programme management and cost management.

• RC structure and groundworks experience is required, Piling and HDD is optional, AutoCAD, RAMS production.

• Setting Out and Dimensional Control experience is essential.

Your new role
The role focusses on deploying Fortinet infrastructure, including Fortigate firewalls, Fortiswitches, and FortiManager. You will lead the network deployment, ensure alignment across business teams, and build strong internal relationships to provide a smooth handover once the implementation is complete.
Key Responsibilities

• Creating Implementation plans using the LLD provided, planning, and installing local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN)
• Implementing firewalls, switches, taps and centralised mgmt. As required on 2 new sites
• Testing new implementations and monitoring network performance, analysing data, and performing updates as required to ensure the best possible delivery.
• Following the successful build of 2 new DC’s, there will be a migration exercise out of the existing DC.
• Review and apply necessary FW changes following the change process.
• Diagnosing, fixing, and documenting hardware and software issues
• Providing technical overview documentation for internal support teams
• Provide internal network team detailed handovers to enable a smooth transition into BAU support.
• You will be expected to attend the site for the implementation and design sessions as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), routing, switching, and security principles.
• Experience working with network hardware (Fortinet (Essential), Cisco, Juniper, etc.) and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Ability to analyse data traffic and troubleshoot network issues efficiently.
• Experience of implementing hardware from scratch and testing out appropriately.
• Able & willing to travel to sites in South Wales, from Swansea to Newport.
