As an HVAC Applications Engineer, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Designing equipment and engineering solutions using AHU selection software based on customer requirements and project specifications
• Selecting suitable components ensuring technical compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and availability
• Producing accurate estimates, quotations, and detailed specifications
• Processing projects on the ERP system (M1) and handing over jobs for production
• Maintaining relevant areas of the ERP system including bills of materials
• Supporting the technical design team with research and development projects
• Liaising with other departments and clients
• Conducting occasional site surveys
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HVAC Applications Engineer, you will need:
• Experience in applications, design, estimating, or technical support in a manufacturing or project-based environment
• Basic understanding of AHU products and associated services
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with engineering software, ideally M1 ERP
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
Desirable Experience
• Knowledge of or experience in the HVAC or refrigeration industry
Training Provided
• Industry-specific training and ongoing support will be provided
