If you placed all the blocks of cheese produced at Lockerbie in a year end to end, they would reach a height equivalent to 2,428 Eiffel Towers. The amount of whey concentrate produced annually would be enough to fill four Olympic-sized 50-metre swimming pools. The Arla Lockerbie site was officially opened by HRH Queen Elizabeth in 1975.
