An established, large scale facilities and energy services organisation is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join its mobile engineering team, supporting a high-profile energy client across London and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role working on critical refrigeration and cooling assets, with strong earning potential and long-term stability.
The Role
You will be part of a regional engineering team responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of refrigeration and associated plant. The role combines planned preventative maintenance, reactive fault finding and breakdown response, including participation in an on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair refrigeration and cooling systems.
· Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
· Respond to site outages and major equipment failures, ensuring minimal disruption.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation and service reports.
· Support system upgrades, commissioning and user acceptance activities where required.
· Apply technical expertise to resolve complex issues and improve system performance.
· Work collaboratively within a regional engineering team, including on call cover.
· Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Background and Experience Required
· Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer within facilities management, energy, retail, petrochemical or similar critical environments.
· Minimum of 5 years industry experience at Engineer level or above.
· Valid F Gas qualification, Safe Handling 2079 CAT 1.
· Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability across refrigeration systems.
· Comfortable working in a mobile role across multiple sites.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
· Ability to work independently and exercise sound technical judgement.
