Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead on complex fire engineering projects
  • Review of technical packages during RIBA Stages 4 and 5
  • Support and mentor Grad to Fire Engineer level within your team
  • Lead workshops/meetings to discuss design solutions
  • Implementing fire strategies during construction phase and retrospective fire strategies
  • Produce technical engineering reports and review technical packages of contractors
  • Project manage from start to end including financials, quality management planning and customer care

Required Skills & Experience

  • Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc
  • CEng, MRICS, MCABE or working towards

In this role we will ask you to work towards and achieve HV AP (High Voltage Authorised Person) switching engineer status at this facility, and you will be responsible for the building services high voltage infrastructure.

The role is based 100% on site in Brixworth. Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.

Ideally you will have:

  • HNC, HND, bachelors degrees or higher in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
  • 18th Edition IET qualification certificate or equivalent.
  • HV AP Certificate that is less than five years from date of issue or working towards.
  • Experience working with Autocad 2D

If you have knowledge of Schneider, MEM, ABB and EATON electrical distribution systems, Schneider SEPAM, ION and other Schneider meters, Siemens Desigo CC, Schneider Accusine systems this would also be a big advantage.

I am recruiting for an experienced 33kv+ Commissioning Engineer to work & support the commissioning, installation & protection testing of regional substations connected to critical infrastructure. This role will be fully involved in testing & inspection ofswitchgear, supporting outages, plant installation at national sites, alongside CT/VT injection testing. You’ll be working with high voltage switchgear & transformers to underpin upgrades & upkeep of critical electrical infrastructure that supports the country’s networks.The company offer agenuinely progressive internal development plan, alongside the opportunity to work for a highly reputable, global-scale brand with an enticing company benefit package.
