The successful candidate will be supporting the evaluation, coordination and monitoring of achieved levels of conformity in the product, process and services provided by the Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist Quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, and to independently assure that Quality requirements have been met.
  • Assures that the Quality system is being adhered to within the business by the business through surveillance activities.
  • Assures that certification processes are consistently defined and applied within the business.
  • Coordination and leadership of reported quality / technical issues from business teams and customers, ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken by the accountable function through use of multifunctional team activities and that the originator of the issue is informed.
  • To perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB’s, NC’s) to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventative action is taken (ambition is within one shift) preventative action to be taken through problem solving analysis through multifunctional team activities.
  • To conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities, informing the accountable function, and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.
  • Compile and Present Quality overview to the leadership team within the business area

Required Skillset:

  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to problem solve and use associated problem-solving tool sets (PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa etc)
  • Good interpersonal skills - ability to challenge appropriately whilst maintaining strong relationships.
  • Data analysis skills - interpret data sets, graphical data and draw conclusions.
  • Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross functional team members
  • Quality or engineering based background (desirable) within a major manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Field engineer you will work with both commercial and residential clients to provide hardware technical and break fix support on Laptops, Desktops, Workstations, Tablets, Printers and Servers.
  • Be involved in installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing of IT products such as PCs, Workstations, Printers, Terminals, Servers, and associated devices.
  • To attend all Incidents/requests as directed by the Customer Incident Centre in a courteous and customer focused fashion as per your engineering work instruction guidelines.
  • Ensure assigned incidents are monitored, updated, and progressed in the system Real Time.
  • Co-ordinate between clients and vendors to ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Provide a high degree of customer satisfaction in all work undertaken
  • Maintain and manage parts in line with returns return process and deadlines.

Essential Skills:

  • Applicant must have a full valid UK drivers’ licence, own car, and business insurance or should apply for it upon offer.
  • Ability to resolve hardware issues and basic software problems
  • Capable of building (o/s and required software) and deploying PCs (desktop and Laptop)
  • Good understanding of IT systems and environments.

The Role

Youll be responsible for installing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems across your own allocated postcode area, working predominantly Monday to Friday.

  • Working independently as a lone engineer in the field

Working Hours & Call-Out

  • Call-out rota: Yes currently 1 in 8 weeks

What Theyre Looking For

This role would suit someone already working in a fire and/or security service or installation environment, or an engineer keen to broaden their skill set with structured training.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in a similar fire & security role
  • Willingness to work across fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and extinguishers
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Confident communicating with customers face-to-face and by phone
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working alone
  • Strong work ethic and pride in delivering quality work
  • Ability to manage your own workload with minimal supervision
