About the Role

You will report into the Head of Marketing, playing a key role in delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns that raise brand awareness and support ambitious growth targets across four innovative, impact-driven group companies:

This role is ideal for someone with 1 2 years marketing experience, preferably in construction, energy or sustainability, who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to meaningful, society-changing work.

As our Marketing Executive you will work closely with a skilled in-house marketing and design team, alongside external creative partners to plan, manage and execute digital and offline campaigns.

You will be involved in:

  • Delivering integrated marketing campaigns to drive growth and engagement
  • Working with PR, creative and digital agencies
  • Supporting internal and external communications
  • Creating and updating marketing content including case studies, brochures, videos and web content
  • Assisting site teams with marketing materials such as scaffold banners and resident packs
  • Supporting social media activity (organic and paid)
  • Ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all channels
  • Producing monthly marketing reports
  • Keeping up to date with sector and marketing trends

  • Experience with digital tools such as Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Google Analytics and CMS platforms
  • Basic design ability (Adobe Creative Suite an advantage)

Role Purpose
The Strategic Asset Manager is a new, strategic leadership role within the Economy and Place Group. Reporting to the Director of Economy and Place, the postholder will:
Take a council-wide overview of all property assets (administrative, operational, commercial, and housing-related)
Advise on retention, refurbishment, repurposing, or disposal of assets
Lead on compliance strategy across all council assets

Collaborate across council teams and external partners to optimize the value and function of assets

Key Responsibilities
Asset Management & Strategy

  • Maintain and update the Council s Asset Management Plan (AMP)

  • Prioritize capital expenditure to maximize value for money and deliver council objectives

Collaboration & Governance

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (CFO, Chief Property Surveyor, Assistant Director of Development)
  • Develop business cases, secure investment, and manage funding for council assets
  • Lead the Net Zero Board for property-related sustainability initiatives

Placemaking & External Partnerships

  • Leverage council assets to support placemaking, community wealth building, and sustainability goals
  • Work with partners such as Greater Cambridge Shared Planning, the University of Cambridge, and Cambridge BID

Leadership & Team Management

  • Likely line management of one Band 5 Property Surveyor (TBC)
  • Provide strategic oversight of property portfolios (£165m) and advise on investments

Person Specification
Essential Skills:

  • Degree/diploma recognized by RICS, MRICS qualification or equivalent
