Key Responsibilities:

Optimize the performance of Back End services, ensuring low-latency responses and high availability, critical for financial services.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring systems to ensure the reliability and stability of production systems.
Proactively identify issues and bottlenecks in existing systems and propose solutions to improve the system’s performance and scalability.
Stay updated with new tools, technologies, and industry trends in cloud computing, containerization, and financial systems to continuously improve development practices and outcomes.

Ideal Skills:

Proven experience (2+ years) in GoLang Back End development, with a strong focus on performance optimization and building scalable systems for high-volume, high-frequency financial applications.
Strong experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and other cloud-native technologies.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications in a cloud environment.
Solid understanding of financial systems and services, particularly in areas such as trading platforms, investment management, and risk analytics.
Experience in building microservices architectures and working with APIs (RESTful, gRPC, etc.) to integrate various systems.
Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Experience with database systems (relational and NoSQL) and working with financial data.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to streamline the development life cycle, such as infrastructure-as-code (eg, Terraform or CloudFormation).
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring uptime and performance in high-pressure, mission-critical scenarios.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced financial environment.
Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, etc.) to create efficient and scalable solutions.
Knowledge of financial industry regulations and standards, particularly around data security and privacy.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures or message queues (eg, Kafka, RabbitMQ) for Real Time data processing.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Understanding of performance monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.

Responsibilities:

As they build a new team, this firm is seeking experienced Kubernetes Engineers who can support both cloud-based and on-premise container orchestration platforms. This role will contribute to the stability, scalability, and performance of our Kubernetes clusters, supporting a variety of mission-critical workloads. A leading financial services client is hiring an entry-level Cyber Threat Analyst to join its Information Security team, with a focus on penetration testing and offensive security.

The Role

- Support penetration testing and offensive security activities, including red teaming, breach and attack simulation (BAS), and bug bounty engagements.
- Assist with incident response and participate in the on-call rota for major incidents.

About the Position:
We are looking for an industry wide Senior Systems Architect (Infrastructure) who can provide leadership and direction for Change-The-Bank (CTB) electronic trading infrastructure initiatives covering all technologies (in this specific domain) for Rates.
The role sits within Citi’s Global Markets: High Performance Architectures - Infrastructure (HPAi) group. This team is responsible for all electronic trading infrastructure architecture across all markets globally for the firm. It is composed of low latency Subject Matter Experts (North America, EMEA), Systems Architects (both regional and asset class aligned) and an aligned initiative management function (e.g. Technical Project Manager). Technology is key to our business; this role will require you to drive innovation and technology adoption in a large multi-faceted and complex environment. This Markets-Tech “business aligned tech” resource will collaborate with ICG-Markets “the business”, CTI “Enterprise Infrastructure”, and CISO “Security” teams driving technical architecture and engineering of CTB and End of Vendor Support (EoVS) initiatives where we choose to innovate.

What you will do (but not limited to)
Reporting to the head of HPAi, the Systems Architect will be responsible for ensuring best in breed technology architecture and engineering are in alignment with business requirements. This will be done in collaboration with CISO and other teams and resource aligned to HPAi who represent Enterprise and CISO priorities and standards.
Active collaboration with all parties is required to be successful. The resource should be able to effectively collaborate with the Markets-Tech Electronic Trading organization (our clients), steer other technology organizations directly or through influence, and love rolling up their sleeves and working as an individual contributor.

Establish engineering best practices for safe, scalable, traceable and production ready AI deployments across internal platforms and external product suites.
Strong algorithms, data structures, problem solving skills, and ability to translate business problems into scalable solutions.
Good command of coding standards and Strong understanding of both high level and low level software design
Expertise in:
- Core Java, Python

Prior exposure to Level 3 production support.

Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers.
Experience within financial services or with financial market data.
Familiarity with in-memory caching, Spring Boot, Redis, Kafka.
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, JBehave, or Karate.
Background as a Scrum Master or experience running Agile teams.

ROLE SUMMARY:

You will be working at the forefront of Kubernetes platform engineering, with a focus on Container Network Interface (CNI) technologies, helping shape and evolve our hybrid cloud container ecosystem.

As part of the specialised container platform, integration, and network connectivity engineering group, you will contribute to the design, development, and lifecycle management of globally consumed infrastructure services. This team plays a central role in our strategic transformation, where innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning are highly valued.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Engineering & Delivery

Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of Kubernetes based container platform components, with a focus on CNI, networking, and cluster-level integrations.
Lead delivery of engineering tasks for Kubernetes platform features across development, test, and production environments.
Implement, configure, and validate CNI solutions (e.g., Cilium), network policies, and associated platform capabilities.
Drive high quality engineering practices including testing, documentation, peer reviews, and CI/CD automation.

Technical Influence & Collaboration

Act as a domain specialist in Kubernetes and CNI networking, guiding team members and partnering with adjacent engineering squads.
Provide technical input into platform architecture, backlog refinement, and feasibility assessments.
Assist application teams onboarding to the container platform, providing guidance on networking, cluster usage, and deployment patterns.

Operational Excellence

Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across multilayered network and container environments.
Contribute to platform reliability and observability improvements through dashboards, run-books, and automation.
Evaluate new tools, technologies, and approaches and present findings to the wider engineering community.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Hands on Kubernetes engineering experience in production environments.
Strong CNI experience, ideally including Cilium, Kubernetes networking, network policies, and service routing.
Solid understanding of Linux networking fundamentals and container networking internals.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes deployment pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing principles.
Strong recent Linux (especially Ubuntu) experience.
Exposure to monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting across containerised workloads.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jira, Confluence).
Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or scripting languages.
Understanding of performance tuned or latency sensitive environments (preferred but not required).
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability in complex system environments.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
