In this role responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate cross functionally to deliver secure, stable and scalable solutions that support Home Finance operations and customer outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Technical expertise

  • Bring strong, hands on engineering skills together with the breadth to lead a modern product centric team.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage origination/administration systems or comparable regulated financial platforms.
  • Experience delivering and operating web based MVC applications (e.g. Ruby on Rails, React) and APIs.
  • Skilled in designing, managing and optimising relational SQL databases.
  • Hands on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) and cloud native architectures.
  • Broad engineering experience across DevSecOps, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring and security best practice (“shift left”).

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Salesforce Engineer to join our thriving development community at Stepstone. You will be responsible for developing solutions that support our global Commercial strategy.

Working in the CRM function, you will be working with our internal stakeholders and product managers to understand their needs and work with your colleagues to create innovative solutions to drive our business systems forward.

You will play a vital role as we reimagine the labour market to make it work for everybody.

Your responsibilities:

  • Apex, Aura/LWC, Visualforce development and tools such as Salesforce, Lightning (Aura &Web Component)
  • Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organization
  • Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development and assist/take ownership with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
  • Drive initiatives, help the team deliver, translate non technical jargon into technical tasks and be responsible for having discussion with business stakeholders and product
  • Work with the following tech/tools/methodology; Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TDD, Agile, pair programming, Bitbucket, Bamboo

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Salesforce platform
  • Apex, Aura/LWC, Visualforce development with a strong understanding of development best practices
  • Knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and understanding of CI/CD, REST API
  • Experience working with Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Billing, Revenue Recognition
  • Certinia Financial Management and Accounting(Desirable)

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Senior Creative Technologist / Senior Front-End Developer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Client Design Practice for a $bn US tech platform and influence the delivery of globally recognised digital experiences,

Joining a forward-thinking organisation at the intersection of design, technology and innovation, where you will help define how advanced prototypes and production-ready digital platforms are conceived, engineered and delivered, while working within a highly creative and technically ambitious environment.

You will be consulting alongside the Technology Director, Lead Visual Designer and an established Offshore Development team to ensure creative ideas are not only technically achievable but executed to an exceptional standard.

You will operate as a senior technical voice within the business, translating conceptual ideas into high-performance digital experiences while influencing architectural and technology decisions across a range of complex projects.

NB: This role is remote-first, with collaborative in-person sessions in the central London office one day per week.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A proven pedigree with a minimum of 7 years professional front-end development experience, including senior or leadership responsibilities
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React and modern build pipelines
  • Experienced in delivering technically complex prototypes and digital products with a strong background in creative technology and interactive digital experience development
  • Advanced experience with animation frameworks such as GSAP, Lottie or Framer Motion, with experience integrating APIs, headless CMS platforms and cloud-based architectures
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across global and cross-functional teams, possessing strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and creative stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience with web-based 3D technologies including Three.js, WebGL or shader development
  • Exposure to AI or machine-learning driven creative workflows
  • Previous experience within digital agencies, creative studios or innovation environments
