Role Overview We're seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our growing team and lead the development of advanced machine learning models. You'll work closely with our CTO and technical team to develop sophisticated AI systems that leverage multimodal data for pattern recognition and insight generation, while maintaining strong privacy and security standards. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement advanced machine learning models for multimodal data analysis - Develop innovative approaches for temporal pattern recognition and behavioural analysis - Create and optimize algorithms for real-time data processing on edge devices - Implement privacy-preserving computing architectures - Collaborate with the technical team to integrate AI models into our platform - Evaluate and optimize model performance across diverse datasets - Contribute to the development of explainable AI frameworks Technical Skills & Tools Core Technologies: - Languages (Python) - Frameworks (PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, ONNX Runtime) - Statistical approaches (Frequentist and Bayesian modelling) AI/ML Methods: - Model architectures (Deep learning, Computer vision, Natural language processing) - Analysis techniques (Time series, Anomaly detection, Transfer learning) - Data processing (Signal processing, Multimodal fusion, Feature engineering) Deployment & Production: - Edge computing (SBCs, Linux, TinyML, TensorFlow Lite, Resource optimization, Quantization, Efficient inference) - Privacy & Security (Privacy-preserving ML, Edge architectures, Data minimization) Requirements - MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or related field - 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models - Strong expertise in multiple areas from our technical skills list - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment - Passion for creating technology with positive social impact Desirable - Experience with embedded programming languages, such as C/C++ or Rust - Experience with IoT or smart home technologies - Knowledge of data privacy regulations - Background in embedded systems - Experience with edge AI deployment This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI techniques to create technology that enhances independence and wellbeing through intelligent, privacy-respecting systems.
