Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer with a passion for automation and collaboration, as well as a deep understanding of AWS and EKS. You will ensure the platform can scale rapidly and reliably, simplify engineers’ experiences, and support the transformation of a new product area.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and continuously optimize cloud infrastructure to improve performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Operate container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes / EKS).
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Design, build, and manage Infrastructure as Code.
Work in an agile way following DevOps principles.
Manage disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Platform team members.
Mentor Platform and Software engineers on best practices.
Key Requirements:
Strong experience with AWS as a cloud provider, particularly managing EKS workload.
Expertise in writing Infrastructure as Code (ideally in Pulumi).
Proficiency in Linux and Bash.
Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes.
Familiarity with PHP and/or Python ecosystems.
Ability to communicate the benefits of DevOps practices such as Agile, Theory of Constraints, and SLO-based monitoring.
Strong collaboration skills, working with development teams to improve monitoring, alerting, CI/CD.
Proficiency in Git/source control.
Experience in a fast-scaling business and adaptability to change.
Desirable Skills:
Go and TypeScript development best practices.
Provisioning and administering Windows Servers and VMs.
Provisioning and managing SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.
Managing Windows Active Directory.
