Gooey are looking for a Front End / WordPress developer to work within our development team, delivering WordPress websites for some of the UK’s leading agencies and brands.

You will be an experienced Front End Developer looking to take the next step in your career, working at an agency that prides itself on their clean, semantic and functional code.

What to Expect

We are an agency for agencies, so our team is highly-skilled and set up to work as an extension of external agency teams. All our developers are front-end and WordPress experts, we work efficiently and to high standards, as an agency we produce circa 300-400 websites per year. The websites we build are mostly quick turnaround, averaging about 5-15 days development, so we never get stuck on long drawn-out website builds, instead working on new and exciting projects on a nearly weekly basis.

All of our WordPress builds are custom themes using plugins like ACF, Gravity Forms and Yoast SEO (among others). We use tools like Gulp and Git to streamline our process and we use things like AOS to make our builds super speak.

The office is laid back and the developers are not micro-managed, they are trusted to stay on schedule and hit deadlines, no matter where they code – whether it be at their desk, on the couch or sat at home.

Skills & Experience

Strong WordPress theme development experience. JavaScript experience (jQuery). Knowledge and use of SASS/SCSS. Knowledge and use of Gulp. Experience of working either agency- or client-side as a WordPress Developer. Experience with ACF Pro, Gravity Forms or Contact Form 7. Benefits

Front-End/Shopify Developer

We’re looking for a Front End Web Developer to join our team. As both Shopify Plus and Google Partners, we build all kinds of eCommerce stores, APIs and Web Apps for our clients. We need someone who knows their way round HTML5 and CSS via SASS, and who understands the demands of designing and building for mobile. You’ll be familiar with version control and using Git.‘Must Have’ SkillsThe ideal candidate for this role will have experience (preferably with Shopify) within a digital or ecommerce agency - although, well-crafted front end experiences are at the top of our wish list.‘Nice-to-have’ SkillsExperience with Liquid template language would be great.
