This is what you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and optimising a range of carding machinery and fibre-processing equipment. Your work will ensure stable production, consistent web formation and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on carding machines
  2. Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns across the carding lines
  3. Diagnosing faults on cylinders, strippers, doffers, workers, lickers-in, feed systems and delivery sections
  4. Performing alignment, clearance setting, tensioning and fine adjustments to maintain fibre flow and web quality

Responsibilities of the Coffee Engineer

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of high-end super-automatic coffee machines across customer sites within your region.

Your duties will include:

  • Travelling to customer sites to diagnose faults with hydraulic pipework, wiring looms, motors, cables, interfacing parts, and electronic components
  • Installing equipment at customer locations
  • Quality checking and adjusting components to specification, including grinder calibration and brewing module adjustments
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, including water filter changes and PSSR testing
  • Following defined procedures and processes as trained
  • Providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally

Requirements of the Coffee Engineer

  • Previous experience working with coffee machines is preferred
  • Strong electro-mechanical background
  • Confident working independently on customer sites
  • Basic IT knowledge (equipment includes advanced software and connectivity)
  • Full UK driving licence

What do I need to bring with me?

Technical Expertise:

Proven experience with AMD (Xilinx) FPGAs, preferably Zynq, Kintex, or Artix families.

Solid understanding of FPGA architecture design, clocking, resets, and interfacing.
