My client are looking for an Air Conditioning Engineer to join on a full-time employed basis.

Radar Systems Engineer

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to support the procurement, safety management, integration, and in‑service support of key Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, with a focus on Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) and Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR).

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full lifecycle of equipment - from requirements and design through to commissioning, testing, and ongoing support.

You’ll be working on smaller or less complex systems, but with plenty of room to grow into Engineering Authority responsibilities and support wider ATC infrastructure.

The Role:

We currently have a vacancy for a Delivery Area Test Engineer Lead working on a flagship programme in the UK. The role will include responsibility for Planning, Development and Maintenance of test scripts and Test Reporting using both industry standard Manual and Automation test suites and custom developed frameworks. The testing process will follow a hybrid Waterfall and Agile development and release process that supports critical customer mission goals around National Security using manual and automated testing techniques and tools.

Responsible for conducting analysis of requirements and designs, and from this developing a risk-based test approach to provide test assurance in support of our change pipeline. Duties may include providing research and assistance with implementation of community policies and guidance. Employees may also support business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team.

What will I be doing?

Work independently, or with a team of software and systems engineers; must be knowledgeable in industry-standard testing tools and methodologies.
Responsible for the creation of test plans, procedures and reports detailing the test process and infrastructure to appropriately assess that products/deliverables meet defined requirements.
Responsible for briefing the customer on any Test reviews – TRR / TER and DRBs.
Establish the test approach and defect tracking workflow for multiple change projects.
Contribute to the scrum teams, participate in daily scrums, and be proactive on work tasks and obstacle resolution.

Our client, a high-technology business operating within the defence and security sector, delivers immersive training solutions, simulation, and defence consultancy. They are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join their growing team based in Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and guide the design, development, and implementation of complex systems in line with defence acquisition best practice

Work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure project and product requirements are met

Prepare and present materials for project design reviews to internal and external stakeholders

Provide engineering assistance in the management of subcontractors and review of supplier deliverables

Develop, maintain, and control engineering documentation, including requirements documentation, system architectures, design documentation, test and acceptance plans, and bills of materials

Provide technical input and assistance to projects and the wider business

Conduct feasibility studies and produce technical reports

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal engineering processes

Job Requirements

Previous experience in a Systems Engineering role

Demonstrated experience specifying, designing, developing, and implementing complex systems through to delivery

Strong knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and associated practices

Ability to interpret customer requirements within an operational context

Experience developing system architectures using appropriate tools and modelling languages (e.g. SysML)

Experience in Integration, Test and Verification, including presenting verification evidence to stakeholders

Knowledge of Agile methodologies, tools, and techniques

Experience producing technical documentation and reports, with the ability to present to internal and external audiences

Familiarity with systems engineering processes, tools, and techniques within a defence framework

Understanding of synthetic training solutions and naval defence platforms/systems is highly desirable

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing the threat landscape, and the strategy surrounding the security of the organisation’s information and systems. The Role
