The Role
The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with an electrical bias and have fast moving manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. Rate: £25.31–£27.54 PAYE £34–£37 Umbrella
On behalf of our client, Morson are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to provide technical support to the manufacture and development testing of complex weapons sub-systems. This role supports products from early design through production readiness, working hands-on with electrical/electronic systems and test facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide test engineering support across development and production phases
• Support introduction and configuration control of test facilities and equipment
• Diagnose production test failures down to circuit card/component level
• Identify and implement corrective and remedial actions to maintain production schedules
• Produce test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports
• Represent Test Engineering at Defect Review Board meetings
Skills & Experience Required:
• HNC/HND in Electronics (or equivalent)
