We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate-level professional with a minimum of 3 years of UK consultancy experience in building services. This is an office-based role located just a 5-minute walk from Cannon Park Station. You will be working in a small, collaborative team of four within the electrical and mechanical design department. Day-to-Day

Work closely with a small team of four engineers in an office-based environment.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for building services, including office refurbishments, industrial warehousing, and data centres.
Mark up drawings based on specifications using software such as MODEC, AutoCAD, Revit, and IES VE.
Ensure compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant standards.
Collaborate with the mechanical and electrical team to deliver high-quality designs.
Verify and review designs with partners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Work on government and private sector projects, particularly in the banking and financial sectors with cyber security considerations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of UK consultancy experience in building services.
Educated to HNC/ONC/BTEC level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent. A degree in Electrical Engineering or Environmental Engineering is preferred.

What Do You Need?

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with particular emphasis in electrical, mechanical, electronic, or automation.
  • Have proven ability in the design and commissioning of control and electrical systems associated with process automation, preferably in the Hydro power and Water sector.
  • Detailed experience in the development of Control Systems solutions using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC s) and HMI/SCADA and Telemetry Systems in the process control environment using one or more of the following manufacturers: Allen Bradley/ Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi
  • Experienced working knowledge of Profibus, ProfNet, Ethernet. Modbus and DH+ systems
  • Experienced in integration and modification into existing systems PLC control systems in a live environment.
