Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. A superb opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a supportive and collaborative engineering team within a busy FMCG manufacturing site. You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, completing planned preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site machinery.

Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.

Experience with working on PLC’s, ideally being able to fault find using inputs and outputs

Purpose of the Role

To provide technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems for the site and work with production during factory start up.

  • Chooses the most appropriate method and tools for communication.

  • Understand and contribute using a range of risk assessment techniques in order to ensure safety of plant, equipment and people.

Skills & Experience Required

  • The candidate should have an understanding of engineering requirements and preferred if they have experience in an FMCG chilled environment.
  • A good aptitude / understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Must be a team player an able to adapt to change?
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be determined and able to demonstrate closure of all jobs.
  • Demonstration of the above through theory and practical assessment, both on the job and off the job and at all times, to act in the best interest of Pilgrims UK.
  • Competent IT/Computer skills including Holistech literate.
