The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for delivering service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair across a range of commercial contracts, including schools, colleges, offices, and hospitals. The role involves working on VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems, AHUs, FCUs, and associated equipment.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will produce engineering designs, specifications and documentation to ISO 9001 whilst assisting in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals. You will provide customer support as well as off-site engineering support for new products. You will be flexible, adaptable and professional, with the ability to work just as effectively on your own on projects or as part of a multi-discipline team.

Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
Minimum HNC in an engineering discipline
Significant knowledge and hands-on Industry experience of plant, equipment and processes
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
Hands-on expertise in calibrating and setting up machine tools, machine tool maintenance and service delivery with a knack for disassembling and reassembling complex precision mechanical systems
Confident building and refining PLC ladder logic programs, always with safety and compliance front of mind
Experience and knowledge of diagnostics of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Fault diagnosis experience across electrical, mechanical and software-based systems Diagnosing faults is second nature to you, whether it’s mechanical, electrical, or software-based
Self-driven and comfortable working independently, but also enjoy mentoring others and sharing your knowledge across all levels
Strong Understanding of the legislation and know how to apply it practically in a fast-paced engineering environment
Well-versed in Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and know how to embed them into everyday operations
Have a solid grasp of current construction Health, Safety and Environmental regulations - especially the 2015 CDM Regulations
Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE
