Our client, a major player in the IT sector, is seeking a Senior PMO Lead to take charge of a long-term transformation initiative based in Temple, London. This contract role requires the successful candidate to be onsite three days a week and is set to commence in October.

Key Responsibilities:

With a new global partnership this organisation are developing a wide range of ServiceNow applications so a strong background in core ServiceNow development and module config is a must.

This ServiceNow Developer will have the following responsibilities:

Design / Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules.

Develop Workflow / Flow Design where required to drive Approvals and Process Lifecycle.

Assist in developing systems integrations and process automation with External system REST APIs.

Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal).

Support the standup, configuration and implementation of ServiceNow’s ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CSM modules.

Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.

Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows

This role is available on a fully remote basis and is paying a day rate of between £250-£260 per day.

Responsibilities of the Oracle APEX Developer:

Lead requirement analysis, production, and review of technical design solutions of large/complex programmes, supporting the UK submarine fleet.

Lead efficient software development using good design considering code reuse and efficiencies as well as innovative implementation methodologies.

Apply technical experience and knowledge in the evaluation of solutions and maintain technical awareness to a level where alternatives can be advised, analysed and modelled.

Required experience of the Oracle APEX Developer:

In-depth knowledge of the Oracle APEX web-based application development toolset and its use to design and develop web applications.

Demonstrable competence developing complex server-side PL/SQL code for data input validation and data import/export.

JavaScript knowledge and experience.

Disciplined and methodical approach to configuration control.

To attend workshops / reviews / stand-ups to discuss the development project, demonstrate progress to date and communicate with project stakeholders.

Role purpose / summary

This is an opportunity to join the team as a senior QA. We experiment with AI to improve platform availably and drive productivity benefits across the Client.

Project Background

The incumbent tool used by the client predicts the availability of assets depending on the parameters inputted. The team has undergone a discovery piece of work to assess the effectiveness of the tool and to design what a new tool could look like. We determined that the entire application will need to be rebuilt which will include rebuilding the application infrastructure, the simulation model and the UI. This phase of work will be to deliver the MVP and plan for the full product build.

Key Skills/ requirements

The Senior QA will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our product. This will involve writing automated tests for both the frontend and backend, with a focus on utilising frameworks and tools such as Selenium and Page Object Models to drive efficient testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks, as well as creating test scripts to cover key functionality and user journeys.

Accountabilities will include defining test plans and approaches, collaborating with the development team to identify and resolve defects, and providing input on the overall testing strategy. As the initial sole QA resource, the Senior QA will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently, with the ability to lead and mentor junior QA team members in the future.

Strong expertise in test automation, software testing methodologies, and testing frameworks such as Selenium is essential for this role. Experience with writing tests for both frontend (e.g. using tools like Cypress or Selenium) and backend APIs (e.g. using tools like Postman or RestAssured) is highly desirable.
