Working for a leading consultancy, this is a Senior opportunity for a technically strong Project Engineer to support a major infrastructure project delivering an above-ground CO₂ gathering pipeline system and associated utilities across the Teesside industrial region.
This is a critical, client-facing role acting as the main engineering interface between the engineering design office and the construction site.
The Role
Full-time on site in Teeside (5 days per week) with occasional travel to Manchester (typically once per month)
12–18 month contract, can be outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the focal point for all engineering activity on site
Own the Site Technical Query procedure and register
Maintain master engineering drawings and ensure site mark-ups are captured for as-building
Manage and communicate design changes to AFC deliverables
Identify programme risks early, escalating issues where required
Ensure compliance with governance processes, standards, and approvals
Interpret complex engineering documentation including P&IDs, alignment diagrams, strip charts, isometrics, GA drawings, and civil/structural designs to ensure construction is delivered to specification
