The Humber facility include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrodesulfurization, thermal cracking and delayed coking units. The refinery has two coking units with associated calcining plants. This is the only coking refinery in the United Kingdom, and a producer of high-quality specialty graphite and anode-grade petroleum cokes. The refinery also produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. The majority of the light oils produced by the refinery are distributed to customers in the United Kingdom by pipeline, railcar and truck, while the other refined petroleum products are exported throughout the world.They are currently seeking a skilled and experience Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis initially covering 12 months but this could continue after.THE ROLE: Develop and implement surveys and inspection program, covering, superstructures, stacks, silos, secondary containment structures, drains, sump, pits, road, rail track, fireproofing Liaise with consultants and specialists to develop specific solutions for projects, (small, medium, and large), maintenance and turnaround. Liaise with plant owner to gather information for the development of specific solutions. Be proficient in all, or most, of the aspects of Civil & Structural engineering techniques. Design experience is essential. Experience with specific structural and civil engineering design software is required, e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, Stadd.
