What will you be doing?
Design HVAC systems including ductwork, piping and equipment layouts
Carry out heating and cooling load calculations using industry standard software
Select HVAC equipment and produce detailed technical specifications
Develop design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit or similar
Ensure compliance with building regulations, CIBSE and BS EN standards
Work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Attend site for inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting when required
Support cost estimation and procurement activities
Incorporate energy efficient and sustainable design principles
Keep up to date with new HVAC technologies and industry developments

Established engineering business with over 150 years of heritage; specialists in HVAC and ventilation systems for safety critical environments; delivering projects across energy, defence and transport sectors; collaborative design environment working alongside experienced engineers and project teams
What will you need?
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or equivalent
Experience in HVAC design within a building services or engineering environment
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and BIM workflows
Experience with HVAC design tools such as Hevacomp or similar
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer
Knowledge of CIBSE and relevant UK building standards
Ability to carry out detailed engineering calculations and problem solving
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Ideally working towards or holding CEng or CIBSE membership

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Energy & Utilities Project Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site, supporting a key energy optimisation and sustainability programme.
This Energy & Utilities Project Engineer role is ideal for someone with a practical engineering background who wants to move into energy, utilities, and project-based work. Youll play a key role in helping the site improve energy efficiency across major systems, including refrigeration, compressed air, and process equipment.
Working closely with both the Engineering and Sustainability teams, the Energy & Utilities Project Engineer will act as a bridge between departments, supporting projects, analysing performance, and working hands-on with plant and contractors.

As a Waste Water Adoptions Engineer, you will be responsible for liaising with developers and groundworkers to ensure that they install the adoptable waste water infrastructure to the required standards.
You will spend significant time out in the field, visiting developers to inspect and survey the sewers as they are laid. You will be responsible for ensuring that the pipes are laid according to the approved plans, identifying any defects, and ensuring they are rectified.
You will also be responsible for producing inspection reports and identifying any remedial works required relating to the adoption of the new drainage assets from the developer by Advanced Water Infrastructure Networks (AWIN).
