Due to continued growth and new project wins across the UK, our client is now looking to expand their engineering division and seek an experienced Project Automation Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong experience in control systems engineering (PLC/SCADA). What’s involved for the Project Automation Engineer … Understand client requirements and propose suitable solutions. Identify and apply relevant international, British, and client standards. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Develop PLC and SCADA systems, including sensor specification and interfacing. Collaborate with CAD engineers on panel layouts, considering heat dissipation, cable routing, segregation, and maintenance access. Perform power and heating calculations. Create process diagrams, flowcharts, and state diagrams to illustrate system functionality. Develop mimics and popups to support design approval. Maintain a Data Point Schedule (DPS) documenting project I/O and alarms… Ensure all hardware is fit for purpose and properly certified.
