Role Summary

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data strategy and architecture of the organisation. You’ll work across various business domains, providing expert guidance to ensure data solutions align with enterprise standards and support strategic goals. This role involves close collaboration with technical architects, agile teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and compliant data architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with chief data architects to interpret organisational data needs and translate them into practical solutions.
Provide oversight and guidance to data architects in the design and production of data artefacts.
Design and maintain logical and physical data models, metadata systems, and data dictionaries.
Ensure adherence to organisational data architecture standards across teams.
Support agile delivery teams using Scrum methodology, contributing to iterative and collaborative development.
Partner with technical architects to align system architecture with data architecture best practices.
Foster knowledge sharing and maintain high standards within the data architecture community.Skills and Experience:

Key responsibilities:

AI Solution Development & Agent Building

  • Design, build, and deploy low-code and pro-code AI agents using Microsoft Copilot tools to automate business workflows (e.g., HR queries, IT support, operational data retrieval).
  • Develop custom RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions within Databricks to allow LLMs to reason over proprietary SMS documents and data.
  • Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems (Dynamics 365, SharePoint, etc.) via APIs and Power Automate connectors.

Semantic Modelling & Databricks Genie Curation

  • Own the creation and maintenance of Databricks Genie Spaces. This involves translating complex database schemas into business-friendly semantic models.
  • Define and govern standard metrics, dimensions, and synonyms within Unity Catalog to ensure the AI “speaks the language of the business.”
  • Continuously monitor Genie performance, reviewing “human feedback” on answers to refine the semantic model and improve accuracy over time.

We are recruiting aSenior GCP VDC Network Engineerto join a Public Cloud Platform function responsible for delivering compliant, secure, and efficient Google Cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities across the Group.

This role sits at the heart of large-scale Google Cloud adoption. You will help design and build reusable, enterprise-grade GCP network products, modernise cloud network services, and enable engineering teams to adopt Google Cloud quickly, safely, and at scale.

You will operate as part of a cross-disciplinary feature team while also acting as a senior technical authority within the wider engineering community.

Role Overview

As aGCP VDC Network Specialist, you will design and build the foundational network layer that underpins enterprise workloads on Google Cloud. This includes VDC network architecture, hybrid connectivity, policy enforcement, and automation using Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role with a strong consulting element. You are expected to influence design decisions, guide strategy, and set standards, not just execute tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scaleGCP Virtual Data Centre (VDC) network architectures.
  • Build and manageVPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, and VPC peeringto enable secure, scalable connectivity.
  • Implementhybrid connectivityusing Cloud VPN and Interconnect to support on-prem and multi-cloud integration.

  • Strong, hands-on experience withGCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, and peering.
  • Proven expertise inhybrid connectivity, specifically Cloud VPN and Interconnect.
  • Advanced experience usingTerraform and Terraform Cloudfor network IaC.
  • Python scripting for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience integrating infrastructure workflows intoCI/CD pipelinesusing tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Harness.
